Supply Chain Manager

Employbridge Search Group has a client in Humble, TX who is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team! This is a position at a reputable company and has competitive salary.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the supply chain strategy, delivering agreed customer service levels, while ensuring that the financial targets of business are met
  • Establish performance standards and expectations on a monthly/annual basis
  • Develop global implementation of distribution best practices, such as systems integration and optimization, as well as demand planning
  • Manage and optimize supply chain network
  • Ensure the company has the production capacity, inventory capacity, and shipping capacity to fulfill all orders
  • Coordinate and controls the production master planning and shipping schedule
  • Analyze and interpret results to identify potential issues and develop plan for resolution
  • Coordinate and manage multiple DCs
  • Evaluate distribution projects including productivity, inventory, manpower and workflows
  • Lead and manage team planning to ensure capacity meets continued growth
  • Implement a supply strategy that delivers cost efficient and quality products in line with the business objectives and ensure that activities are prioritized to minimize risks to the supply chain
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all vendors, distributors and customers
  • Constantly represent company in a positive and professional manner, regardless of customer requests, complaints or demeanors
  • Identify, develop and implement future opportunities for raw materials and/or processes that further enhance division deliverables
  • Promptly increase production as demand increases. This could include the development of new origin for raw materials
  • Identify gaps between supply capabilities and customer requirements
  • Evaluate supply performance versus the company’s plan
  • Function cross functionally and interact well with others in all disciplines and levels
  • Possess a willingness to perform any and all task either explicitly stated or implied to the best of ones -own ability to ensure supply-based projects are delivered successfully and volume and cost targets are met
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations management, industrial engineering or management (or related field)
  • An experience manager with 7+ years of big box retail industry, coordinating master planning and shipping scheduling, and coordinating and managing multiple DCs
  • A minimum of 7 years of Supply Chain experience
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards
  • An individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus
  • Ability to handle difficult and demanding situations
