Supplier Quality Manager

Job Summary:
 
Management, coordination, and the execution of the Supplier Quality functions in interaction with the Supplier Quality Department.
 
Essential Functions: 
  • Supplier evaluation
    • Audit and feasibility ranking of external supplier worldwide
    • Preparation of the information's for decision making process in the sourcing board
  • Supplier qualification and improvement
    • Managing new supplier implementation and supplier transfer in respect of quality for the Corporation
    • Negotiation and finalization of the quality agreement
    • Creation of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
    • Action definition and follow up
    • Managing and handling the necessities of and around the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Internal project responsibility
    • Participation and representation of the supplier quality in specific project team meetings
    • Managing the PPAP overview per project and coordinating between the suppliers and the related departments the achieving of the PPAP approval
  • Cross Functional Responsibilities
    • Supporting the teamwork in the cross functional team responsibilities to reduce the overall failure rate and improve failure prevention
 Qualifications:
 
Experience/Training/Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Three to five years Quality Assurance background and supply management/purchasing experience
  • Practical experience in the field of Quality Assurance and its tools and methodology
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – technical.
  • Sufficient SAP skills that support the necessary coordination activities in SAP
  • Minimum 3 years previous Quality Assurance background and supply management or purchasing experience
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer software (e.g. MS office)
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Ability to use measuring equipment
 
Physical and Environmental Elements:
  • Domestic and international travel – 25%
  • Exposure to workshop and formal office environment
