The Distribution Center Manager’s primarily responsibility is to provide guidance and leadership to ensure excellent customer service, on time shipment, and quality satisfaction. The DC Manager is responsible for managing all warehouse teams, on a day to day basis, as well as provides direction and long term vision for the facility’s associates and processes. They are also responsible to interact with upper management, coordinate activities and implement solutions to problems, maintain performance evaluations, issue resolution, training and personal development of employees, support, promote and follow all company safety and environmental policies.

Job Duties:
  • Direct the management team to establish priorities for the DC work force and ensure proper execution
  • Utilize performance data and reporting to manage efficiency of the operation
  • Implement Strategic Initiatives that focus on improved operating performance and service levels
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement that insures a high level of quality is maintained in all daily operations
  • A rigorous focused health, safety, and security program is maintained
  • Develop direct reports to ensure succession plans are in place for the organization
  • Maintain employee training to ensure all associates are adequately trained and qualified before being placed in production
  • Ensure all departments operate at maximum standards for production, quality, and attendance
  • Prepare, maintain and manage the annual DC budget
  • Communicate and interact with other functional departments of the business (Inventory Control, Merchandising, Finance, etc.) in order to facilitate the most efficient and cost effective method of merchandise flow through the distribution center
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualification:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or related program is preferred. High School Diploma with commensurate experience required
  • 5-7 years progressive experience in of inventory and warehouse operations
  • 3-5 years of direct management experience in a technical or analytical environment
  • Ability to operate in cross-functional partnership and teams
  • Ability to develop and manage operating and capital budgets
  • The ability to manage people, build teams, and communicate effectively
