Asst. Plant Manager - (Bi-Lingual)

A manufacturer of textiles currently has an opening for a Bi-Lingual (Spanish speaking)  Assistant Plant Manager.  The ideal candidate must be a proven leader with 10 years+ experience of hands-on operations; and an innovative thinker who can manage culture change and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.  Previous online direct-to-customer experience needed.  The successful candidate will possess the demonstrated ability to train, develop, and mentor management and supervisory personnel, with an emphasis on accountability, cost control (labor, chargebacks, etc.), and the safe and efficient completion of work with high-quality results. 

  •          Assist Plant Manager in organizing and directing the daily operations of manufacturing plant
  •          Oversee employees, production and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently, and safely
  •          Coordinate with Plant Manager in resolving plant issues in a timely manner
  •          Foster culture change
  •          Provide training and guidance to workers to meet performance standards
  •          Determine resource requirements, work allocation, and production deadlines to achieve production objectives
  •          Ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production process
  •          Implement continuous plant improvements for increased productivity
  •          Implement cost reduction initiatives to minimize plant and labor expenditures
  •          Ensure plant compliance with company policies and government regulations
Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ manufacturing management experience
  • High-volume manufacturing experience
  • Direct-to-customer experience a plus
  • College degree or some college preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to motivate management and employees to keep operations running smoothly
  • Ability to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it
  • Ability to face production deadlines and manage time accordingly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and email applications
